So, what's new? Well this is new for a start, a complete CMS system that revolves around a community. Every member can now use the TPR Blog, and forum posts can become site articles with a few clicks. So those reviews and guides that finds on the domain so many times can now be even more accessible.

As we get used to the new look home, user choice of template style will be made available as well. Suggestions for themes, styles or templates are welcome, please post in the Galatic Senate if you find a theme or a forum that you like the style of.

The server, the software costs are all paid for this year - but we need to make sure the kitty is kept being drip fed. The affiliate domain of www.crunchyhog.co.uk will slowly start to move into the article manager, having one site to administer and keep up to date. Please check to see if just clicking a link when you are doing online shopping can help pay for the TPR site. On that note, once again we are fortunate to have a server with an unlimited bandwidth allowance and just over 50Gb of online space, so if there is a module, a plugin for vBulletin4 that you like the look of and will enhance your browsing experience or posting experience, post your suggestions in the forums.

TPR has been running since 2001, formed with a single thought - to have fun. The fun comes from many activities, participating in Distributed Computing projects, meeting up for LAN parties and social events or just being part of a diverse worlwide community of friends. Since TPR was formed, we have made many friends, and supported those in times of difficulty.

TPR was created from a few like minded individuals who had a vision of equality. All members are equal, post counts, number of points, how long a member has been involved do not make a difference in any way to the treatment you receive from the community. Originally, the team was a single distributed computing particpant - the original Seti@Home project. After many years of TPR, the original page content written by Riddlermarc still remains. Marc lost his battle with cancer, but remains part of TPR. His original text and thoughts remain the core ethos of the site.

If you're new to the Team, or are just visiting the site let me fill you in...

Team Phoenix Rising was formed by a disenchanted few members from other Teams, realising that the only way to be in a Team they were happy with was to start a new one.

The name was not chosen, it more or less just happened... the new Team was indeed a Phoenix rising from the ashes and we are proud of our Team.

We have our own forums, where you can drop in for a beer and recant wild stories filled with wondrous SETI exploits, or slide into the Mos Eisley Cantina to talk about total... well, whatever you want.

We are a dedicated bunch of SETI crunchers, a lot of us having been in the project from it's early stages... so don't be shy, drop into the forums and say Hi...

That sums it up! Nothing else to say, apart from join us and we hope you enjoy your stay
